

Playing the first violin in the string quartet “Eva” (founded
in 1994), she toured in many European countries as well as in Japan. At these
occasions several world premieres of contemporary composers were played on
stage. For three years she played with the well known Slovak “Chamber
Orchestra B. Warchal”. Since 2007 she has regularly performed with the
Zugersinfonietta and the Camerata Luzern.
Eva Kovarik plays an unusual and outstanding repertoire, often together with
her partner Martin Kovarik. In addition to the many classical compositions
she plays transcriptions, contemporary compositions and improvisation in a
high musical standard.
Eva Kovarik, born
in 1978 in Slovakia, received the first violin lessons at the age of seven
years.
She continued her studies in Banska Bystrica conservatoire and Music Academy
with Prof. Bohdan Warchal, Jela Spitkova and at the conservatoire in Bratislava
with Alexander Jablokov.
She
participated in master classes with Prof. Bohumil Kotmel, Vaclav Hudec¹ek
(both 2001 in Luhac¹ovice), and with Vladimir Spivakov 2004 in Zurich.
